Without a job ... but established as children of the Father
Strange times these days!
Since the beginning of June my husband is at home. He used to work at a factory in the Metal industry. Because of recession this factory had to dismiss over 40 people (out of a couple of hundred people). My dear was one of them. As soon as they heard they where the ones who had to leave, they weren't allowed to go to their work anymore. This is hard for someone who loved to go do his work and has done that for more than 22 years!
Now it is November already. It took some time for the factory to make all the papers in order, but since a week or two my husband knows that his dismission will be official as from 1.January 2010.
During the past few months other issues - besides this dismission and working towards another job - crossed our path. One of the issues is: the longing for a 24/7 prayer house, (as a family) the living in a community with young people and giving/creating fysical and spiritual space for others to find their destinity in life, to receive teaching or coaching on their search, on their pelgrimage of life. We especially hope to bring the love of our heavenly Father to other people - p.e. the way St. John experienced standing next to Mary, the Mother of Jesus and by Him given to us as our Mother - . We hope and expect that revelation of His Love for every human being to change every one's heart and the finally change the world.
As most of you know I am involved in www.poustinia.nl and www.ruah-chaim.nl. The aim of both organizations has an overlap with above described longing of mine. Father Gert (Poustinia) is looking for a location for his activities/retreats and so are our friends (Ruah Chaim in Hengelo) and we for ours (where Father wants us: either near where we live now or elsewhere).
My husband and I (together with a good friend of ours) had a good meeting with somebody who is willing to sell a great resort (a castle). This location is put into my heart through visions, prayer, words. For us it is impossible to buy this, but somehow we believe that it is meant for us to go there. We also have been offered another opportunity that we are looking into right now; as christians we think we have to examine everything carefully and hold fast to that which is good. So we have asked for discernment.
Please pray for us that we will do what is best for us and for His Kingdom.
Also pray for father G. and our friends and for the congregation of St. John to whose family we actually belong.
